FWS Call Description

In 2011, EUR-OCEANS seeks to fund two Foresight Workshops (FWS)  with 15 k€ each and invites submission of proposals on any topics relevant to the focus and priorities of the Consortium.

Outcome

Five projects were received, out of which two projects were selected for funding. The final decisions were made by the EUR-OCEANS Executive Committee for the three parallel calls (courses, foresight workshops, flagships) after the results of an internal review (in which Member Organization was invited to score every projects but those for which a conflict of interested existed) and an external review (in which experts in the corresponding fields were solicited to assess a single proposal).

The two successful projects are:

  1. Effect of fishing-induced alterations in population structure and life history traits on the response of worldwide fisheries to climate (10 k€)
