This meeting will bring together PhD students and Postdocs in a relaxed and congenial setting in order to discuss their research on marine microbes utilizing diverse approaches (from physiological studies to ‘omic’ technologies and everything in between). E. V. Armbrust of the University of Washington (USA) will give a keynote address and L. Campbell of the Texas A&M University (USA) and J. Wesnigk of Northwest Marine Research Association (Germany) will lead a panel on grant writing at the international level. The program will include talks chosen from submitted abstracts, poster sessions, and plenty of discussion time. An award will be presented to the participant giving the best poster.
Abstracts are due May 26, 2012, but must be submitted by Feb 23, 2012 for consideration for a talk.
